Hi thinking about re-barreling a Cooper Phoenix to 308 F/TR gun.Any ideas or advice on barrel weight or contour greatly appreciated.Thanks
 
I would get the gun as close to 18 pounds as i could. But dont go over 18. Be sure to include the bipod in the wieght. The barrels on my guns start at 1.300 and taper 1.100 and are 30 inches long. I also run a 12 twist barrel. This combo has won 2 state championships and 2nd in the regionals and 1 National record.
