F/TR load

Looking for good starting load for 210 SMK's in a .308 1-10 twist 30" barrel. Plan on shooting 1k. Using Lapua brass with .013 necks, Fed 210's .310 freebore

42.3 grains Varget is my low node with 190s... I'd imagine somewhere in the mid-41 range would be a good starter.

The Sierra manual stops at 200 gr SMK's. At that weigh class, most of the recommended powder loads start BELOW your load and few exceed it.

might I suggest you take a load at the 200gr Sierra recommendations and depending on the powders you have available, test a few loads and see how they perform in your particular rifle with those heavies. Just my thoughts.
