Did a primer test this AM using Wolf LR primers against Fed 210 GM's in my 308 Win. Load was as follows, Win Brass, 155 A-Max, 45 grs 8208 XBR (lot 4798) Bullets seated @ lands (3.40 W/Comp), Wolf LR primers and Fed 210 GM's, 25 shots per set. The Wolf primers had a Low of 2840 fps and a High 2846 fps for the 25 rnds. The Fed 210 GMM's had a low of 2827 fps and a high of 2853 fps per 25 rnds. The barrel was clean before starting and before switching primer sets. Screens were 15' from muzzle.

Not surprising at all. I wish I'd have bought 5k of the Wolf LR primers when Wideners had them.

Those Wolf primers are all the difference in the world on our .223 match king loads.

I've used the Wolfs in other 308 loadings(and other cartridges) different powder/bullet/weights but this match seems to be made for each other.

Not to steal the thread but Wolf primers are Russian right? Also, what are your thoughts on Tula primers, they are Russian too, are they anygood?

The same just different packaging. I have both packages. When I purchased the Tula they were actually a few ($ 2-3 K) cheaper than the Wolf when both were bought in 10 K (2 case)lots or more.

Both the Small Rifle and the Large Rifle primers are offered in Standard or Magnum.
The Magnum have the same amount of detonator as the regular, but have a heavier cup.
The regular Small Rifle primers are way too soft for most calibers, so always get the Magnum version of the Small Rifle.

Does anyone no anything about or used the federal premium GM210M Match. Or the fed prem. GM205mar (Match for AR's)
