F-Class: Where to shoot spreadsheet. (Rev 20, 12/24/2015)

Re: F-Class: Where to shoot/range info wanted for spreadsheet.

central alabama gun club shorter,al
4 f class matches a year mid range(300 yds) both f t/r and f open next one is july 21st 8 am show up 30 min before start . last one is in oct.
I have become Match Director of F Class at this range. For now the schedule is 4th Saturday every other month. I have just applied to NRA to make these NRA Approved matches. When the process is complete, I plan on doing monthly matches.
Also, CAGC has acquired more land & will be going to 600yds, and possibly 1000yds.

Will the targets go back to the nra normal targets like these or are they going to be the white type

Rev 20 Posted 12/24/2015.................

I would like your help on collecting specific info on Clubs/Ranges where F-Class matches are held.

I dont intend to collect info of when individual/specific matches are to be shot or to provide contact info (you want to shoot that bad, youll have to do some of the leg work), just the basics of where it is one can shoot. I subscribe to the K.I.S.S. principal and intend to keep it that way, but always look for ways to improve. So comments, suggestions and of course Range Information is wanted and welcomed.

This information will only be as good as the information I collect..
Please review and advise of corrections needed or additions...

Like to know if there’s any long range shooting in Iowa say 400 to 600 yards?

Van Meter IA holds F Class
Milan IL
La Crosse WI
Aurora IL
Racine WI
Marshall Mo
Nebraska has few too
All 600

Look up midrange for 4 to 600
Just north in MN there is a few but not sure if there is anything in IA anymore
For Southern Iowa: Eastern Nebraska Gun Club engc.us, just over the Missouri. Bucksnort Shooting Club check their Facebook page or website. Vapor Trail Valley, FB or website.

It was probably close to 20 years ago that myself, Asa Yam and German Salazar compiled a .KMZ file for ranges. It use to be hosted on the Keyhole website but whatever link I had of that disappeared.

We got really into it, as it has ranges all over the planet. It's not just F-Class ranges, but there were some smallbore ranges and other things like vendors and historical locations. I've been updating it for the decade or so. It seems like a lot of people forgot it and are now trying to re-create it. I've sent it to a few people, and they have typically had a less than enthusiastic response. One dude had a conniption fit because he claimed his private range was on it and he better not have anyone showing up at HIS RANGE! Turns out he wasn't smart enough to understand that he had HIS OWN RANGE in his Google Earth places and it wasn't in our .kmz file.

Here is a link to the .zip file. KMZ files usually alert any antivirus software. I use the Google Earth program on a desktop, but I think you can import it to your account with google maps.

I know its halfway through the season already, but for NorCal members, here is Sacramento Valley Shooting Center's high-power calendar for 2024.

I see the last revision was 2015 so this may have been replaced with something else, but if not.

Dead zero shooting park dunlap, tn 1000 yard f class 4th Saturday.

Desoto pistol and rifle club Como, Ms 600 yard f class 2nd Saturday.

No f class shoot yet, but strategic edge in Columbia, Tn goes to 1,200 I believe and they do bench rest matches.

Thanks to Mr Ford.

It looks like you dont have anyplace listed for South Carolina.

Here is one for your list:

Palmetto Gun Club in the Charleston SC area (https://palmettogunclub.org/)

We shoot on the 2nd Saturday of each month. Every other month is 600yd and every other month is 800yd.

New website for White Horse in WV, will be adding 1k this year so shooting both 600 and 1000 going forward.m

I'm almost 4 hours away, but I'm tempted. There's such a dearth of long distance ranges in Central Maryland and vicinity. I went to Peacemaker last year but had a less-than-stellar experience.

Every Saturday at Wingham NSW Australia and most every other long range location in the state, say Malabar in Sydney.
300mt - 1'000yds progressing each distance each week starting at 300mt.
Check website for coming week distance.
Electronic targeting {HEX} all disciplines shot on the day, TR through F Open.
$20 club fee and there are club rifles + ammo that can be hired.
Good for those who would like to see if long range shooting is for them before investing a lot of $.
A real shame that Tucson's South East Regional Park range only has a 200yd though the last several years there has been noise of extending it to at least 500yds and I have suggested that they at least consider 600 as that is a Mid-range distance to compete at and also allow for long range load work up.
They do have the space for 1'000yds but it is apparently a matter of funding...
Any cashed up shooters that want to be "Community Minded" and donate a large bundle could most likely have that range named after themselves or their choice of names...
Tucson 3 Points is way and gone out of town and only has long range shooting a few times a month...
A real shame that it's 1'000 isn't used like Ben Avery in Phoenix where there is shooting opportunity every week.
