Preferably something I could use between both - but let’s say F-TR as it’s tougher on the weight.
Hi All,
I’m looking at building a new F-Class rifle and would be interested to hear about people’s opinions on different stocks.
Very interested in carbon fibre options as well, and to get a handle on the weight of differing options.
Thanks in advance,
Paul
How about a pictureJust built my latest F open rifle and made the stock as heavy as I could and stay under 22 lbs...actually I'm about 5 ounces under right now...
My rig was a sling rifle until I switched to F-Class. Now it’s an Open rifle with Gary’s pickle forks. It could just as easily be converted to TR by removing the pickle forks, adding a Seb JoyPod and changing the bbl.. Weight is no problem with Gary’s tube stocks.Eliseo chassis with a solid action, Gary’s pickleforks for open, flip able bag rider, Seb or Phoenix Bipod for ftr and class specific barrels of course. You’ll prob need to add some removable weight to the rear tube or assembly to somewhat balance a heavy open barrel. Prob one of the more easily sale-able convertable systems but as stated before, if you are trying to win at the highest level just concentrate on one class. The wind is your friend regardless of arena and comp in this sport, learn as much as you can about it in general and range topographic / flag / ballistic specific if and where possible.
