F-Class Stock Options Update

I know there have been similar questions, and there are aged posts completely on point, so while not wanting to beat a dead horse, just looking for updated information based on subsequent experience--i.e. since 2008 or 2011. Posts I found were fairly old.

I am building my first dedicated F-Class rifle. I have the BAT MB action already as well as a strait 1.25" .284 blank to finish likely at 30", and trigger all in hand. I cannot settle on a stock. Seems with advancements in style and caliber of shooting folks in F-Class there has been some change in recent years. What was in and available in 2008 just aint so anymore. When I searched this question, folks are suggesting Robertson stocks, and saying to check out Manner's new F-class offering, to sway from McMillan's F-Class as its to flimsy in the fore end.

Well, it seems Robertson's are no longer available, Manners isn't making many of the F-class stocks, etc., etc., etc....

So, with advancement of a few years, what are folks doing these days for F-class? I really like McMillan stocks, and admit a favor towards the F-class but looks and fit, but admit having also never used one in a match. Also looking at the McMillan MBR. I am not a huge fan of laminated stocks for aesthetic reasons, but know they make paint everyday for such reasons. Would I gain enough by the alleged additional rigidity of the laminated construction? If so, what about Pierce's offerings in comparison to PT&R? Pierce's stock could be had with adjustable comb and butt for about $700 delivered, far cry from what I have heard $$$ for a PT&R stock.

I am currently having a rifle built by Ryan Pierce with one of his F class stocks. I went back and forth between his and the PRT. I ended up getting his stock. For the price you cant beat it. Fully adjustable for $700. Ryan says his stock is more ridged then the PRT. I have known Ryan for over 8 years and trust what he says. Plus look at how well he has placed over the years at shoots. To me that says something.
Give Ryan a call if you have any questions. He will answer them. (563)-586-2000

I have 3 McMillan MBR Tooley stocks and a PR&T low boy.. All are excellent, however the Tooley's fit me better. If you are not comfortable, all is is immaterial in stocks.. So, my suggestion is to fins a few people who will let you shoot several rounds thru their rifle(s) and see for yourself what is best suited to you..

My experience...
mcm MBRs are quite stiff...stiffer than a prt stock. But the forearm is on the short side for 30"+ barrels.

Love my PRTs with their long forearm...but they are more flexible.

I have one of the Pierce stocks. Amazing stock. In the process of Bedding and painting mine. Very Stiff and well constructed. Don't have any of the others so can't comment about being stiffer than the other guys but i can't seem to get much flex and I have pushed on it pretty hard.

Are these what you speak of?

I have a McMillian, Eliseo, and PRT stock.

I would have to say hands down that the PRT stock is the best. Look at results from all the big shoots and see how many people are using Ray's stocks. They track really well.
