F-class shooting for Beginners

the rifle described in the OP is a full blown custom F-TR rig

Actually, that one is an F-Open gun.

Not that it matters much... I recently had my first full-custom FTR rifle built, the way I want it, not what anyone else wants, with a spare barrel and a spare trigger, plus the SEB Joypod-X and the only arguably 'budget' thing on it is the Vortex Golden Eagle scope. Tallying everything up, including the gunsmith's cut, about made me blanch.

Just saw this on FaceBook

Bruce Cole roughly
Barrel 800
Action 1700 (well worth it)
Stock with rad bedded and finished 1900
(I have one of his with rad for sale 900)
Flavio trigger 450 - trigger tech diamond is similar for 300
Scope 3200
MDT rings 375
Other scopes that will work well Nightforce comp 2200
Vortex golden eagle 1700
So I’m in it about 8,500 ish

This is just for Beginners ??? "WOW" this will kill most BEGINNERS dreams !!

I have done DOZENS of F class builds with customers.

Keystone 3 inch stock with bedding block $599
Bat Trigger Guard $82
Barrel $319
Nut $39
Trigger $300

Pick an action. Origin, Mack Bros, Kauger, Curtis, etc etc

Budget $900 for action. You can get actions like the Solus on sale for $600 or use you own Remington for free.

That is about $2200 plus scope. And that includes a $300 trigger budget. You can spend less on triggers. If you want.

All the parts aside from action is about $1350.

No gunsmith required. Or you could pay someone to assemble the parts.

I was looking into taking my .308 40x with a Bushnell Elite for a spin, but a cervical fusion makes prone difficult. I can do the prone rapid and slow fire across the course but those stages don't take too long but neck still gets tired quickly.
I had a C6-C7 fusion 7 years ago and it’s been great ever since.
