F Class REAR BAG RISER

GUYS, I HAVE A BACK PROBLEM THAT REQUIRES ME TO RAISE MY REAR BAG BY 3 INCHES IN ORDER TO SHOOT PRONE F CLASS. I HAVE HEARD THAT A REAR BAG RISER IS LEGAL FOR F CLASS. MY QUESTION CONCERNS THE SIZE OF THE RISER VS. THE SIZE OF THE BASE OF MY REAR BAG. I HAVE READ SOMEWHERE THAT THE RISER CANNOT BE ANY BIGGER THAN 1 INCH LARGER THAN THE BASE OF THE REAR BAG. I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO KNOW THE “ACTUAL RULE” CONCERNING A REAR BAG RISER. IS THERE A RULE REGARDING THE DIAMETER OF A RISER USED FOR F-CLASS OPEN? IF NOT, IS IT LEGAL TO MAKE A RISER THAT WOULD BE SAY 3” LARGER THAN THE BASE OF MY REAR BAG. GIVE ME THE ACTUAL RULES REGARDING THIS ISSUE. THANKS.

Specifically 3.4.1 (a) and (b) (2):
"Separate flat boards and or plates not exceeding the dimensions of the individual rests by two inches on a given side may also be placed under the front rest and rear bag."

I would take particular note of how loose the rule is as far as what you can rest the rear of your rifle on. It does not specify sandbag, only that you cannot use anything that would eliminate having to re-aim. Design yourself an actual rest, with a built in bag if you like, and you should be good to go. You could always ask the NRA if you are unsure so that you could have their response in hand if it were to be questioned or disallowed.

Some have added a riser to the butstock to aid with this. They look like aluminum U channel
mounted with legs down. The ones I have seen are about 2" wide.

) The use of any form of a table is prohibited. Separate flat boards or plates not exceeding the dimensions of the individual rests by two inches are allowed to be placed under the front and/or rear rests. See Rule 3.4.1(a)(1).

This rule does not state “2” on a given side” that I see. It could be interpreted that way but could also be interpreted as only 1” on each side for a total of 2”.

So would something like this be legal for F-Class in the US?

No leveling screws or protrusions are allowed on these boards or plates. They must be flat on the top and bottom
