Who can really say what's legal now?
The NRA pulled the 2024 F-Class document from their website. The PDF file link was there previously, now only the label is there. Presumably, they will now take the time go over it carefully, something they clearly didn't do the first time around. Please feel free to excoriate me for not just saying, "Great job, NRA!", but I don't tell someone they did a great job when it was actually done poorly.
I have compared the 2024 copies I have with the 2023 and 2020 versions. The 2024 version was more than just a simple cut and paste job from previous versions of the Highpower Rulebook. There were numerous typos and grammatical errors in the initial version of the 2024 F-Class Rulebook that made it online. Further, there appears to be language missing that I thought had already been agreed upon by the Rules Committee. For example, the "new" 2024 section regarding F-TR bipods/carpet/boards does appear to be a cut and paste job from a previous version that was written before the new language was agreed upon following the Great Carpet Debacle. Altogether, my impression was that the new document was cobbled together without sufficient attention or proofreading/editing. Hopefully, the NRA will take its time and go through the next iteration with a fine-toothed comb before releasing to the public.
