F-Class Nationals

I am wondering what the entry fee,$) is for the F-Class nationals? The Bald Eagles club web site says $150. I recall seeing somewhere on this site that the entry fee was going to be $200 because they are going to supply target pullers. I know one buddy of mine already sent his entry in with only $150. Also has anyone heard when the US F-Class Team tryouts are going to be? Thanks ahead of time for the info. Dean-o

I sent in $200.00. I'm assumeing if you sent it in early enought and the price was $150.00, you got in for the 150.

I wonder how much extra I would have to pay to use my suppressor, I mean muzzle brake...

$50 for target pullers is a heck of a bargin.

Rhino,

I am with you, two years of the match being held on the West Coast is a little disheartening. We have too much equipment to fly with and California and New Mexico are just too far to drive from Georgia... Every other year I would like to see it in Oak Ridge!!!!

Chuck,
I am with you, I went to Sacramento last year and heading to Raton this year. I am not looking forward to the drive at all. I don't think you will get Chris to go along with our idea though, I think once was enough for him and Rusty.

Jeff,
Chris and Rusty did do one hell of a job when the Nats were in
Oak Ridge. They had a great team of volunteers. The target frames at ORSA are just so easy to work.

500 miles is about my limit for a drive now. Lodi is another possibility. I would drive to the Nats if they were held anyplace East of the Big Creek....

C'ya at FatBoy's shoot next weekend...

Guys,
I don’t want to start a flame war but feel I need to comment on this issue.

Rhino,
The Nationals will return to the “East Coast” when someone/organization with the resources and reputation of hosting large matches puts in a bid for them. Nationals don’t just happen; they are a LOT of work, just ask those who have run them. People love to shoot in them, but when it comes down to doing some of the work most turn in to ghosts.
Chuck,
I have been to all 3 Nats, you need to look at a map of the USA; Raton, NM is not on the West coast. I flew to the first at Butner with all my gear. Of course my front rest weighs only 9lbs. You just have to plan ahead and cut down on your weight. There will be competitors from South Africa, Ireland, the UK, Canada, etc there this year. It can be done; it is just a question of how much you want to shoot in the Nationals. I like Oak Ridge, but it is 1500 miles from me and Sacramento is 1200,both one way). There is no one place that is fair to everyone. 500 miles just gets me to Raton.
You East Coast shooters are spoiled when it comes to driving somewhere. Last year I drove to Sacramento twice, Waco, TX, Mineral Well, TX, Lodi, WS, and Ottawa, Canada for a total; of about 20,000 miles. I don’t want to hear about 500 being a limit; it is just a start out west.

If you haven’t shot in Raton at the Whittington Center you are missing something everyone should put on their must do list.

P.S. Your possibility just might come true.
JeffT, Looking forward to seeing you again.
