F-Class Bi-Pod

If you are going the route of bipod instead of rest like most F Open shooters, then may I suggest the Duplin Rorer. I purchased one, sold it and bought the Joypod and regretted is so switched back. But I shoot F TR.
However the SEB mini rest according to those using it performs exceptionally well at a fraction of the full size rests.

I used to shoot F-Open with a 6BR on a Rempel bipod. I didn’t want to lug around a front rest and fiddle with getting it lined up with the target; I like to take the path of least resistance. It was good enough to get me an HM card in mid-range F-Class.

You’d need an Anschutz or Freeland rail on the bottom of the forearm and also tell Henry which one you have so he can send you the right adapter. Be aware that the bipod plus adapter weigh around 3.2 lbs or so, and that weight will be included in the total weight of your rifle, so consider whether it would put you over the limit.

In my opinion, it’s as stable as a front rest, just a tad slower, though, in re-aiming. I’d push the rifle forward and then squeeze the rear bag. As with all ski-type bipods, you’ll want to put a mat under it so it can slide freely during recoil.

I also shot a lot of Open with Rempel. There is pretty much no difference in scores. If anything I think guns that torque a lot might actually do better with the wide stance of an F Class bipod. When everything is set up correctly I never found a bipod to be much of any slower. When the conditions aren’t changing I can give a puller a work out either way. Lol.
