Thanks to all that came out! Mike and I wanted to provide something a bit different with focus on the team aspect of our sport. Over the years we've enjoyed shooting as a team and the fun and strategy it creates. Problem is we only have a few large venues where this is available. Our goal was to make it as fun as possible, get some banter going between teams, and change some things up to get teams thinking on the best way to approach the challenges. Great job Team McMillan and Team USA FTR for doing just that!

For those that missed this years event, to give an idea of the level of competition we had in the group of shooters; as I was going through the names we had 23 shooters that finished in the top 10 between Nationals last year and the Southwest Nationals this year. In both Open and FTR we had the LR National Champion, and silver medal winners present as well as both silver medal winners in Open and FTR at the Mid Range Nationals. There were several past National Champions as well as past Southwest National Champions in attendance. Also present were most of the USA FTR developmental team that will be representing our country in South Africa. I think they got a good workout and practice session in that hopefully proves to be useful! Camp Atterbury always offers challenging wind conditions and this weekend did not disappoint with a forecast both days of light and variable. That would not be what I believe most would characterize or label the conditions we faced. Tough switchy wind with many builds and let offs. Our pair fire relays were fun to watch and participate.

It was great seeing many friends and faces we only get to see at big events. Thanks to all for making the commitment to travel in and compete. We hope to see you all again next year as well as many more new faces.

Returned last night from a GREAT match. Thanks, Todd and Mike for putting together a fantastic, well-run and unique program for us. Will return next year. It would be great if you could miss the date of my wife's birthday next time...
