Hey guys. Developed a load for the Berger 180 HB at about 2800-2820. Just wondering how long your brass lasts. I'm using Lapua 6.5/284 brass necked up to 7mm

If you stay in that velocity range, pressures will not destroy the brass.. It should last for a good many firings..

I'm on 7 firings and my primer pockets are still tight at that velocity

That's a pretty average load. You didn't say what powder you are using but with 4831SC. I've gotten up to 15 firings out my Lapua brass. I buy 200 new pieces when I replace an old barrel. They may last longer but my barrel doesn't.

On 5th loading, annealed each time, primer seating still comparable to new Lapua brass. 2810 fps.
