Eyesight issues ?

At 60 I’ve already had cataracts done in both eyes.
Been driving a truck since 1992 and it helped keep me between the lines.
Still have a floatie his name is Elroy he only shows up when my eyes are tired.
Looking through a scope for more than 30 seconds and things begin to take on different shapes.
Sucks getting old.
Getting old ain't too bad.It beats the alternative.

The gang that I shoot with are all retired. Oddly enough, the only one who dosen’t complain about his eyes is the 94 yr. old. I take some satisfaction in knowing that I’m not alone dealing with this situation. Thanks for your replies, folks.

getting ready for cataract surgery this month. also have Fuch's Dystrophy. fun times

Elroy! ... that’s funny right there.

I've shot irons for 50 years, and was quite adept at it too. But my skills started eroding a few years back and I had no idea why.

Then I went to the dye doctor a couple months ago and I found out I have typical middle age vision. I need readers!
So, for the first time in my life, I bought a scope. Not the pistol scope I have on my 357 hog hunting hogleg, but a real riflescope. And a rifle to screw the scope onto.
But I still need readers.
Dammit.

No sir. My optometrist told me that my tears are sub standard. They don’t lubricate and wet my eyes normally. He‘s given me a handful of samples of eye drops. He also told me to blink several times when I’m behind the scope. It helps a little. I also have floaters and cataracts that aren’t quite “ripe”. I didn’t fully appreciate my great vision when I was younger.

If you use a CPAP machine, it will cause dry eyes (along with frequent inner ear infections). My optometrist recommended Bausch & Lomb Advanced Dry Eye Lubricant. There are other lubes but Bausch & Lomb does the best for me.
