Extreme Tru Level Picatinny scope mount

Has any body tried any of these bases? The Tru Level Picatinny Scope Mount for Savage short action. I ordered item # HC-9100 for a Savage short action target single shot. It did not fit. At the end of the front radius, there was a flat that would not let the base come down to the action. Any feedback will be appreciated. Also the bubble level is hard to see with old eyes. Thanks for looking. Gene

Gene,
The Tru level pic rail was designed to be used with the savage 10/110, 11/111, 14/114, or 16/116. The machined flat is a recoil lug that is pushed up tight to the forward cut out of the ejection port of the rifle. Most accutrigger actions will accept the rail with the exception of side eject or oval ejection port actions.
Regarding the bubble, it is a point of reference and in the head down/ shooting position, to have full focus is not a pure neccesity. The human eye will naturally center the bubble in the cut away with a brief glance at the level.

Xtreme Hardcore gear does offer a full warranty and if the products purchased do not fit or have any issues, call the factory at (208)746-7065 and someone will be happy to help you out.

All the best and shoot straight.

I bought a Savage 20 MOA rail for my PTA that had the "recoil lug" and therefore would not mount on the action - until I ground off the lug.

Gene,
A friend of mine designed these rails, he is a avid hunter and 1000 yard bench rest shooter and just about everything in between, he is in his 70's I bought a couple of them or rather ordered a couple this weekend, they don't have all that they are going to build in stock yet but there coming in, I understand about the old eyes but it naturally lines up and I think once mounted you will be able to use it. This same man invented a range finding retical for night force scopes that truly worked, deer, coyote sized animals from 100 to 1000 yards and it really worked, to bad they never used it, I need to talk to him the next time I see him I would pay quite a bit to have that put in my scope! anyway I think these are going to be really good affordable rails. If you can't figure it out I would be happy to try and get it all figured out for you as the company is only about 46 miles from where I live. The whole family are shooters and hunter's and super neat people, I shot with 4 of them this weekend at a 1000 yard br shoot in Missoula.

Thanks for the feedback. It was my mistake not to ask questions when I ordered it. The base was very well made. I had assumed that any Savage short action would fit . It was my mistake. I did send the base back and they refunded my money promptly. They were very helpful. In the future, I would hope they would make one for the Savage model 12 single shot action. I would definitely purchase one. Good shooting. Gene
