Been around for years http://www.22bpcra.com/ in a slightly different format. They can help you with animals and whatever. 50/100/140/200m, so a few yards longer than your 200yd. The good shooters usually get in the mid-30s. No one has cleaned the chickens (shot off-hand) as of yet, though there been several 9s. Very popular and they are all ready over 110 competitors for the 2017 Nationals at Raton the first week of July. We shoot this locally and use an 'any safe rifle/sights' format. Great fun and can be a real challenge when the wind picks up. We've discovered that this is no different than most other .22RF competitions. It takes a good rifle and very good ammo to be a winner. The other matches in your general area of the world are Ashville, KY and Gainesville, GA. We shoot in Quinton, NJ.

Shot this match today. It was a tuff match with 10 mph winds all day. I came in 2nd in factory class 29 out of 40 with a CZ Varmint. 1st in Benchrest (open ) 32 out of 40 with a Kidd Supergrade.
Great match come shoot with us.

Excellent. Did you shoot chickens off-hand. If at 80yd, am guessing you are using pistol-sized chickens if anyone got more than one or two. I'll put the word out on the .22BPCRA website as we have several shooters in the GA/VA/TN/Carolina areas that might be interested.

No, they were all rifle size, shot from a bench, off bi-pods, and rear bags. I cleaned the chickens with the Kidd, and the pigs with the CZ.

Good shooting!

Here is a link to the animals that are shot in .22BPCR. Of note is the chicken, which is just a bit over 2" wide and shot off-hand at 50m.
http://www.bpcr.net/site_docs-resul...e_Crossno_22_Rimfire_Silhouette_rules_etc.pdf Chickens usually separate the men from the boys.

For scopes, there is no limit on power as long as the objective lens is 1" max and the tube is 3/4". Thus far, the most power any legal scope has is 10X. Most of us shoot either 6x MVA or 8x DZ Arms scopes. There are a few older 10x Feckers used, but they are difficult to find.

I'd like to check this match out. I'm not far from there, so I'll make the match in June. What are the details on classes and requirements?

We have a squirrel class scope set no higher than 9X. I shoot a CZ 455 Varmint. Next is the benchrest class. I shoot a Kidd Supergrade, both gun shot off Bi-pods. Their was one rest at the first match.

Great match yesterday I did well with everything , but the Ram's. the wind cleaned my clock. On our range you will see more vertical when the wind is blowing. I was seeing 6" spread when sighting in. I was 3rd in Benchrest with a 31, 33 took it. not sure in factory 35 won, I shot 30. Great match, come shoot with us.

It was a great match Mark! I'm the other KIDD shooter that was there. Thanks again for mentioning this match on here. I've got it on my calendar going forward.
