Extreme PTG Long Action (LA) Blueprint Action Combo - Bolt, FP Assy

So I ordered one of these actions before Christmas, I was told it would be a 12 week wait so on the tenth week I get a call from PTG asking if I was ok with a blued action instead of a steel because that's how they come in from Remington.
I said that's fine it will be coated anyway so I was left with the impression that it was almost done. a few weeks later I get an email saying they are waiting on the actions from Remington.

So I was wondering if anyone else ordered one of these from PTG and received it or are going through this also.
I do know when it comes to this hobby, sport or buisness there is always the waiting game.
 
Very similar situation here.....

Ordered an action in December. Had a couple of conversations with them over the weeks concerning other issues but while I had them on the phone I asked how my action was doing. They were waiting on Remington was the usual reply.
So at the end of the 12th week (two weeks ago) I get a call from PTG saying that they had an action for me but the bolt was bright instead of blued as I had ordered. I don't know why I ordered a blued bolt anyway so I said sure....send it out to me. I notified my FFL guy to be on the lookout for it and he's still looking....
Had two conversations with PTG in the last couple days and they can't figure out what happened to it. While they didn't come out and say it, I think they shipped my action to someone else.
All this is sort of normal for this stuff but the part I don't like is that they charged my credit card for the action 14 weeks ago!
They're supposed to get back to me on Monday. If I'm going to be "waiting on Remington" again, I'm seriously thinking about demanding a refund.

The status on your Extreme Action Combo.. We have the bolt done to the furthest point we can, but we are waiting on actions from Remington before we can finish it. It could be another month out.

I probably could have gotten a Stiller predator or tac 300 by now
 
A local guy here builds smokeless muzzleloaders on 700 actions, he's been waiting on actions from Remington for over 2 years....
 
So I get a call today telling me I'll have to wait for the next shipment of Remmy actions. For what PTG charges for a trued action, it's probably a mistake but I'm canceling my order.
PTG's customer service sux! When the guy I'm talking' to doesn't' know the difference between a fluted bolt and a jeweled bolt, it really makes you wonder
I had two other calls where the person answering the phone had to run back to the workshop to get my answer. Three person calls where the middle person is clueless is no way to run a business.
Last two calls were with Steve who knew his shi! But he really couldn't help me.

Time to move on. Maybe I'll try again later.
 
What really sucks is I was told that my order was the first one placed for the long action.
So I am wondering if anyone received their order yet.

Talk to PTG today I will be getting a refund. turns out I should have received mine because I was the first to place an order
for the long action gonna order a Tac 300 from Stiller. more money but no wait time its in stock. should have done that to begin with could have had a barrel on it already.
 
I to was wanting to wait it out but after it stewed in my head for a couple weeks it got to me. I knew it wasn't right that my order was put on the back burner so I decided to go another route.
 
Si I called today to cancel, had to hang up after waiting on hold 10 mins, here is the email they sent me after they went to "check"

My apologys for missing your call. I was speaking with my manager about this issue. At this time we are not able to cancel your order. Below is a copy of our website page for the actions. As you can see we do not do status checks until the 12 week period is up. You are only 5 weeks into your 12 week ETA for these actions. Please feel free to contact me if you have not received your order around May 27th and I would be happy to do a status check at that time.

I like their stuff but their CS sucks, I could call my CC company and cancel but I will just wait it out for the 12 weeks, if no actions by then I will go that route.

I ordered two of their blueprinted long action combos at the SHOT Show in January I received them two weeks ago.
I got the same call about a month back about them being blued. They came in bead blasted, which is fine since i'm doing Cerakote anyway. I met them at the SHOT show and they seem like really nice knowledgeable people. But you never know what you're going to get when you call. I ordered a bottom metal kit from them this week. I get an email the next day saying they are backordered for 8 weeks(doesn't say that on the website). No problem, I don't want to wait that long so I call them back to cancel. I get some lady on the line that is clueless, she says they will charge me 20% for canceling even though they are not in stock. I have a long discussion with her about not agreeing with that, but no luck. I hang up mad and determined to never buy from them again, even though I like their stuff. After thinking about it overnight, I call them today to see if they might have another bottom metal in stock. This time I get a really nice, and knowledgeable, lady who tells me no problem. She knows exactly what I need, goes in the back to look, and returns to tell me they have several in stock and will get the order changed and the item shipped out today! Night and day difference in the two people and the customer service.
