Twice they've 'misplaced' mine and had a courier deliver it to my house the next day.

Once at DFW it came out on the regular baggage claim conveyor belt with all the suitcases.

That's actually one of the nice things about flying out of one of the nearby airports to Phoenix for SWN... so many people flying down to golf, nobody looks twice at an oversized hard case - they just assume it's another set of clubs

You don’t need TSA locks.

I thought they preferred non-TSA locks for bags containing firearms. That was a long time ago, though.

Not 'prefer', *require*. Been said multiple times in this thread, plus if anyone actually cares, they can go - and should - go do their own research with the air line(s) you're using, and the feds.

Or you can keep gummin' this back and forth with "I heard" "I thought" "Someone told me".

I cant even afford the $5000 case! Hope they are superb shots cause I wouldn't want to miss in public with a $40,000 rifle!

they are, you don't miss when your hunting a Cape buffalo, but this is why they hunt in pairs your partner hunts "over you" just in case, these are very rich men with custom made Safari guns and cases, I have a rifle case my brother gave me made from the last elephant he took.

First off, it was stated once. And you can always (and should) do your own research when it comes to the law. That said, this forum exists for information, and that was what the OP was looking for. Every research project starts somewhere.

Second off, I prefer to clarify things that I know are correct and things I believe are correct. Cuts down on someone taking less than solid advice as truth. If you have a problem with it, skip to the next post.
