external ballistics software

I'm looking for a good user friendly exterior ballistics software program for a PC and would like feedback on what works best.

I'm doing long-range tactical among other events and need something with flexibility.

I would like to find something that is capable of calculating differences for changes in shooting conditions, temperature, elevation, etc.).

I want something that will allow me to print hard-copy dope cards for path, drift and lead in inches with corrections in mills, MOA and clicks.

Recommendations?

Hi Mark,

I do a little long range varminting.

I use Exbal from perry-systems.com
http://www.perry-systems.com/index.html

One version is loaded on my PC, another on PDA that I use in the field.

If you take the time to "tweak" it a little, it is very good.

I believe the new Sierra Infinity version 6 does all that you are wanting to do.

https://www.sierrabullets.com/index.cfm?section=store&page=item&stock_num=0601

It is also available as Sierra Infinity Suite 6 which includes Sierra's 5t edition reloading manual on CD.

https://www.sierrabullets.com/index.cfm?section=store&page=item&stock_num=0602

You can call them at 800-223-8799 to ensure that it will do everything that you want it to do.

G'Day Mark,

Might I suggest you also consider RSI Shooting Lab, http://www.shootingsoftware.com/. I use it exclusively for my match reloading for cataloging every aspect of the process and to cover internal and external ballistics. Unlike Sierra's software RSI's is not based on 110 year old algorithms or products that are just a PC version of load manuals". With RSI you can choose which BC table you want, where Sierra's is ONLY G1. With RSI I use G5,boat tail spire point) and find it gives me significantly more accurate results, closer to real conditions). The biggest bonus is when you call with question you actually speak to the person who made it. I can't remember his name, but he is extremely helpful and offers valuable advice.

G'Day Mark,

I neglected to add, at the moment there is only a PC version available no PDA version. If you use a Mac like me, I just use Parallels Desktop or boot directly into Windows on my MacBook Pro, faster than an actual Windows Laptop.
