experience with heavy bullets in the 6.5x47?

Hi all,

Do any of you have experience with the heavier bullets in the 6.5x47 Lapua? I'm speaking of the 140-145 grain range. As I look through posts and the 'guns of the week' it seems like most people are having best success with lighter bullets. Would appreciate any success stories.

I have shot alot of H4350, Norma 203B and some Reloader 15 in my 6.5x47 L and 140 gr. bullets. The H4350 and Norma 203B was OK but what really brought this combo to life was Reloader 17.

I couldn't get my hands on any until this past winter, so when the temperture warms this summer I'll have to adjust for it. When it was only 50 degrees outside I was getting 2825 fps with single digit E.S. from 40.5 grains of Re. 17 and 140 Berger BVLD's in a 24 in. barrel and I am pretty sure that was a max load.[/B]Start lower and work up.
