Expansion ball pulling shoulder back out on Forster FLS Die?

I cleaned die again and also readjusted the expander ball. I set the ball a touch higher in relation to the vent hole on side of die body. Replaced aluminum die nut with steel Hornady nut. I also used nylon brush inside of necks. So far there are no bumped or pulled shoulders. I'm thinking the ball was a little low not allowing the vent hole to function as intended. I appreciate the help everyone!

Mine arrived way out if adjustment.
Directions are clear as mud. After talking to Forster on the phone they re-assured me I was getting it right.
After fooling around, I noticed they placed the vent hole 1.50" from the bottom 1/3 of sizer ball when proper adjusted.
They did that purposely or coincidence IDK.
It works pretty well.
Reply from whatupdoc explains adjustment better than directions for me. 270 Win FL.

Really glad to hear it’s working for ya now. Good luck with the rest of them my friend.

Long ago I tried polishing the ball and every slippery lube I could think of. No luck until I went to expanders.
Yea, anytime I'm starting with new brass I simply run an expander in the necks to make them uniform. I do not F/L size it @ F/F'ing. At re-sizing after F/F'ing I use bushing dies. Some of my rifles I use a mandrel with after the bushing but not all of them. Depends on the age and condition of the brass.

Brush the inside if the next and it will be much better. Take it one step further and dip the necks in Micarta and your problem should be solved.

If it is your stems sizing button, use a Drexel polishing rubber or felt wheel with polishing compound. But if your sizing necks with a inside button, brushing before is critical. Carbon is not your friend and grabbs like it has barbs.

I've got some graphite I bought from Forster years ago. At least I think, that's what it is. I'm going to dig it out and if it's still good I'll start using it. I'm also going to make brushing inside the necks a consistent prep step.

I use hornady case lube. You can put a little on a q-tip and swirl it around inside the neck. You can do several cases before you have to put more on the q-tip .
