Expander Mandrel -Co-Ax Press?

I am considering going to a mandrel to set the neck tension.
I am looking at Porter's Precision die and mandrel.
I am using A Forster Co-Ax press.
I reload 6br no-turn chamber, .243 factory chamber, 6.5 Creedmoor- no turn chamber, 6.5x284- no turn chamber and various .30s, mostly Lake City Match brass.
I saw previous threads questioning the use of a co-ax press because it allows the die body to float.
What are the current thoughts on it use?
If the press is ok, then is Porter the best option?
Thanks in advance for your advice.

I use the Porter die, and pins from Kenny Porter, in my Forster co-ax press. This works great. Pins are available in .0005 increments with + or - tolerances. Kenny now has a website you can order from directly.

You don't need to worry about too much wobble. Before my mandrel holder arrived, I held them in a Hornady bullet puller collet (.375") ,threaded loosely in my Rockchucker. No issues - other than inconvenience.

I use a Wilson expanding mandrel, I purchased only one in 6mm ...then copy the Wilson on the lathe, turn down and thread one end to make my own mandrels any diameter I desire. The co-ax press works great with this die and home built mandrels...as reported .0005 tir can be expected.

Wow! I did not know about the Porter Die. I know about the bushing dies, and have some, but did not know that the inside was addressed to this precise degree by anyone. Great info on this site, again. Only question that I have is how do you deal with doughnuts?

I started with Sinclair. I have since moved to Porter's die setup and for pin gages I order from Travers Tool. I taper the ends on a belt sander with 240 grit; and then have my smith polish with 1000 grit, finishing with yellow diamond compound on his lathe.

He was the one who showed me what a new Sinclair looks like compared to some he turned himself and then polished. Mine are all polished now.
