Evolution at filming long range varmint hunting...

Started about 3 years ago trying to film long range pdog hunting. Have made a handful of videos and each one gets a little better. My first attempt is listed first and my latest video as at the end. I just finished shooting some of the best video I have, unfortunately, my shooter wasn't very good and I have very few kill shots. I still have some work to do, but have enjoyed the process. Videos are full of graphic pdog kills, hope you all enjoy. If you click on the title you can see it in full HD on vimeo.

Good fun!
What kind of camera setup are you using?

Glad you guys like them. I am using a Nikon D3200 w/ a nikor 55mm lens mounted to a Kowa spotting scope. Those videos were shot with a Kowa 664 with the 25xler eyepiece.

I just upgraded to a Kowa 824M with a 20-60X eyepiece which produces amazing optical quality and I do not have to use an additional lens with the D3200 and have no vignetting with the new setup. Will try to finish the latest video and get it posted to show the differences.

Where were you shooting, and yes, it appears that you could use a better shooter but in all fairness, when you start getting out to 400+ lots of things come into play to make consistent shots.

IMG_1320.jpg iPhone 6 behind my Kowa 88 with 20-60 eye piece. Still shot cut from video clip. Been filming p-dog kills for more than 15 years. fun hobby. I leave my background audio of the grown men giggling like little boys. The uploaded here does not support my iPhone videos, too bad.

"86" the music. This reminds me of the flight videos on YouTube where nearly everyone complains about the music that drowns out the audio for what they came to watch.
