Bold statement isn't it? However it's 100% true and has been for 50-60 years now. As some of you know i have spent most of my long life working in the forests across the western part of our nation.
Yes environmentalists say they love wildlife, however their form of love for animals has killed more wildlife than any form of hunting ever has, it's not even close.
I can give you many examples of this, but to keep this simple i will use just one and it was less than 50 miles from here where i live. The tower mountain fire when it happened was let to burn because of the forest service environmental management program that is still in many places being practiced in our nation. This environmental policy practices leaving everything alone until it's to late to put out the fires that start because of fuel load and as such the fires outrace any and all animals, above and below ground. Those of us who were on the mountain when this fire happened listened on the radio as orders to leave it alone were given until the fire created it's own vortex winds and it couldn't be put out.
The heat created by this type of fire takes boulders the size of cars and trucks and heats them up until they explode into dust, the worst of it is that it also sterilized the ground so nothing grew there of any size for close to ten years.
Some of the fire crews who witnessed this saw the fire catch a herd of elk and after it was done burning there, there weren't even bones left, it burned that hot. I was over on another peak,(all rock) and watched it come across the Camas creek valley crowning across the lodge pole patches at an honest 60mph, nothing can out run or live through that.
We have had over 50 years of this environmental stupidity and lost hundreds of thousands or more of our wonderful wildlife to these fires because of this B.S, how much more of this insanity do you want?
