Depending on the course of this virus which no one can predict with certainty, we may be headed for uncharted territory. I lived through the polio scare which was real, the riots in the 60's, and the Vietnam War but this virus may be a horse of a different color.
Our fathers fought the second world war on two fronts against two well trained and determined enemies. The entire country was behind the war effort. We prevailed because we hung together, mobilized the entire nation to defeat our enemies, and the remarkable character of our American soldiers and citizens.
Do we have the same stuff that our father's had? We shall see because if this goes really bad we'd better work together if we are going to defect this new unseen enemy.
