Every heard of gunsmith JM Penrod

Just purchased a new chambered unfired Kreiger barrel in 6ppc for my Panda here on the classifieds. It is marked J.M. Penrod, anybody familiar or know about his work? Thanks in advance!

Mark Penrod is in N Manchester, IN and one of the best gunsmiths anywhere. If it says Penrod on your bbl it has been done right

Mark is probably better known for his custom walnut stocked hunting rifles.

Mark is also does very good work on No.1 and No.3 Rugers. The four that he's done for me are heavy barreled bench varmint rifles. This is the latest one that he rebarreled and did the trigger work on. It's a 8" twist Shilen 7HV contour.

Good shooter indeed! He won both classes (factory and custom) at the Wabash Cannonball match in October for the agg win. I recruited him to do my .284 Shehane barrel for my 1 mile prairie dog attempt (one trip so far and conditions were poor so I got to shoot very little - planning another go at it in May). Here's a couple of targets shot with the barrel.
