Ever had a heated discussion about which load to shoot?

Klyde and I are getting nose to nose about the load we are going to go with in the new HTR 30br that @LONGRIFLES has chambered up.

I say we need to push 3100 fps and he says to back it down to 3060.

I say if you can get it to shoot better go for the speed. I have not seen it hurt my accuracy yet. I ve been to 3224 and that was my best gp. and chrono numbers with Cline 108 gr. bullets and VV-N120.

Really, hard to believe 2780 will hold in the wind as well as in excess or 3250 does. Dick Powers just won the T D 6 score with his 108 gr. Clines running right there in that ballpark.

How in the world did he get it that fast?

Dick's load with N120 is 3150.

My rifle with 34.0 gr. N120 is at 3240 per Garmin. That's what I was basing the speed on. He listed 34.0 gr. in the thread where the T D guns were listed.

EDIT: CAUTION - Work up this load with your rifle. No two rifles are the same even with the same load.
