They may be something special. According to Speedy in this video with Erik Cortina he had some of these bullets tested and the test conclusion was the bullets were some of the best the tester had ever tested.Just bought these in hopes that they are something special but really don't know much about them...Any ideas what ogive or which of Allie's dies these came off of? Any info would be appreciated
Your right Allie did have a bunch of 6MM dies and it would be impossible to tell which dies were used and which jackets were used for a particular lot unless Allie wrote down all the info when he was making them. I have a ton of both 30 caliber and 6MM of his bullets. When I first started in 2013 I purchase 3000 and then 5000 of his lot #82 30 caliber 116's. Then when Allie was shooting against me in VT he sold me a bunch of 68 grain FB bullets. I bought more and more every time I could get my hands on them. When Tony sold me all his stuff last year I got a bunch more of Allie's 68's. Tony had quite a few of them. He had a quite a few of everyone's bullets. I asked Tony which bullets were the best ones that you ever shot? He replied Allie Euber's 68 grain FB bullets. He said to me that they had 1/4" less wind drift than any other bullet that he used. But there were some lot numbers that were better than others. He told me out in the motorhome I have some 2007 Hottenstein's that people would give their right nut for. So again it depends on the lot number because they all didn't shoot alike. PS: I am not selling any bullets.I know Allie had quite a few 6mm dies but one was particularly legendary....does anyone know how to identify? these two lot numbers 52 and 82 look like the same bullet. Were lot numbers tied to particular jackets regardless of the dies used?
