You have heard from me before with ideas about an international shoot. I have just taken part in a match here in Australia, all shot on electronic targets, all shot at 600 yds/mtrs, all shot on the same date and all results then available via internet/facebook the same weekend. This, to me, is the future of shooting matches.
It then occurred to me that such a match should be able to be organised on an international basis. All electronic systems that I am aware of are able to use different types of target. We currently use ICFRA standard targets.
The 'problem' of home ground advantage is largely bypassed as everybody shoots on their home-ground.
Anyway, discuss it amongst your friends and acquaintances and maybe we can arrange something. Maybe a two man team event?
All classes would be catered for. We have Palma syle, and F class, etc. but a lot of ranges in Australia only go back to 600 hence this limitation.
The actual rules can be worked on as we go.
Anyway, I would be interested to hear what others have to say.
