Eric Holder Appointment, Urgent

Holder Nomination Goes To Senate Floor - Act Now
>
> In a disappointing move, the Senate Judiciary has voted to send the
> nomination of decidedly anti-gun Eric Holder as Attorney General. The
> fox is about to be given full access to the henhouse. But all is not
> lost yet; you have one more chance to block this blatant disrespect of
> American rights and safety. Act now to let our US Senators know how
> you feel. There is no time to lose.
>
> IMMEDIATE ACTION REQUIRED
>
> * Call and write your Senators, and let
> them know you are opposed to Holder's confirmation.

Sample Letter:

>
> Dear Senator:
>
> It is urgent that you vote against Eric Holder's confirmation as
> Attorney General. He has a long history of disrespect toward the
> Constitutional rights of American citizens and simply cannot be
> trusted as the chief law enforcement officer for this country.
>
> President Obama promised that he would protect the Second Amendment
> rights of Americans, yet he has made a grave error in appointing one
> who holds these rights in total disdain. The confirmation of Holder
> would spell a major betrayal of the trust of the people of this
> country.
>
> Please use all of your authority to stop the confirmation of Eric
> Holder.
>
> Sincerely,
>

Senator Tom Coburn,Rep.) of Oklahoma has released a statement saying tha he will not support Holder. I believe the senator in Wyoming has done the same. The vote ultimately will be decided on the Dem. side.

Folks,
An easy way to get in touch with your Senators provided you don't know their email address is to go to:

http://www.senate.gov

Once there, look in the top right corner and you will see a box that says "Find Your Senators". Click on your state and it will then present a link, web form) for each senator. Click the web form link and start writing your message.

It's as easy as 1-2-3. My state Senators have been written.

I just sent an email to the wonderful Senator from New York State Mr. "Chuck" Schumer.

If read, I will probably be put on the watch list, secondly deaf ears cannot hear!

Heck we just lost Hillary, but we still got Chuck

Thanks Rustystud!

Thank you for your e-mail. Each and every piece of correspondence I receive is important because it allows me to better understand the New Yorkers I serve in the United States Senate.

As you can imagine, my office receives a great number of messages every day regarding a variety of issues – this is particularly true of e-mails. It makes me proud to know that my constituents take an active role in our government by corresponding with me, and I look forward to responding to your concerns in greater detail. In the meantime, I just wanted to let you know that your e-mail has been received, and to ask for your patience until I send you a more detailed response.

Again, thank you for writing. Please feel free to visit my website http://schumer.senate.gov to follow my work in the Senate and to learn more about the services my office can provide to you.

Warmest regards

Done....... Sent it to my Senators and Congressman. It's a shame that this kind of crap even exists!

OK guys, if we are going to get the word out and do it right, this needs to be a coordinated effort. I have put a post on the following sites to get the word out:

benchrestcentral.com
24hourcampfire.com
ar15.com
predatormasters.com

If there are any other sites that you think have high traffic, post something.

Sent to Martinez and Nelson here in Florida. A shot in the dark since Martinez,R)already said that he was going to vote yes on the appointment. We won't even have the pleasure to vote him out in 2010, he is not running again.
Thanks for starting that thread.

Wilbur owner, cook, bottlewasher and moderator at BRC does not want political post on BRC. I try to honor the owners wishes.

Rusty,
Had I known this, I would not have posted. I will remove my post from his site.

It is a sad day for gun owners - Holder was just confirmed.
Yes, another sad day, we seem to be getting plenty of these recently, and more to come.
