Equipment in the winners circle at the F Class worlds?

So I understand that the F Class match organisers do not capture details of competitor equipment and formally publish this information like the BR match organisers do. However can anyone give any insight into what the winners in Raton were using?

Well if it was (stick) would not surprise me. I know the man by Don Starks. Let me tell you I lost track of don several years ago and had the pleasure to visit with don a few weeks ago. Don was prolly the best race motor machinist, builder around and did a lot of machine work for us back in day. There's no dought in my mind his work is second to none in gunsmithing as his work was in machine work. +1 for Ole Don. Bill

Just like to give this a bump now the shooting is over. Hopefully there will be some detail out there. At least cartridge wise, it appears 284 Win is still a great choice for F Class Open.

I am wondering what the majority of ftr shooters were running for bullet weight?

Among the dozen or so guys I asked on top F-TR teams, most guys were running 185 grain Bergers, both the older match and the newer Hybrid (and a few guys are using the VLDs). Some Euro guys are running the 185gr Lapua Scenar or 175gr Scenar L. All these .308 Caliber.

OK Paul, that would be Berger 180's - not 185's both Hybrid and old VLD's and a few using the new Sierra 180's was what we seen were the bulets for the .284's. H4350 & H-4831 sc seemed to be the powder of choice and all were using 9" twist barrels from all the top barrel makers.
I believe the .284's did well with that many rounds fired. I think maybe the 30's finally in the last few days did take a recoil beating on some, but there was some GREAT shooting regardless of what they were shooting.

BTY Paul, you are doing a great job at getting all this info the the rest of the World who were waiting to hear.

Thanks for what you do.
