Equipment cart

I have really been happy with my Tipke "Fold it" utility cart. You can get them from amazon, or I think you can also get a similar cart at Walmart.

After watching several people move equipment in Raton , I think the (Fold - it) had the capacity and large tires needed for the job. There was a few jogging strollers that looked like they worked well for FTR . There also was a few all expanded metal green wagons with pneumatic tires that were rolling along good with a handle that steered the front axle.

I have one of the green expanded metal carts. There are different ones out, some built heavier duty than others. I got mine at Home Depot for $70. It hauls all my gear when shooting with the Palma guys, from 1000 yd line to 800 and back. The only downfall is it takes up a lot of room in your vehicle. The Fold-it carts pack down better, and hold all gear, but cost more. I think Creedmore sells them, but not sure.

For one Rifle and gear I use a creedmoor. Especially for Palma shooting. For 2 rifles I use a fold it copy from Costco. 50. Bucks :) when it was on sale.
For F OPEN Your best bet would be a fold it. Because of your front rest.

Rod, that guy is hard to find until after deer season. Kinda cantankerous fellow, but he does take pride in his work and will build one after Nov. Pm me if you are interested.

I'm going to do a little follow-up story on range carts so I took a lot of pix of various options. The aluminum folding carts work well. I saw Ryan Pierce fold one flat and stuff it in his car trunk in 90 seconds.

Uhhh, I gotta ask, being a real new to this guy. but do ya'll really need 300# of capacity for a match?

It's not that we have that much load but terrain can put the load all on one wheel on the back side of a shooting mound. I carry over 100 lbs with a cooler on mine. Many front rests and rear bags alone add 40 lbs with 20+ lb rifle and range bag, it gets heavy quick.

To Mike's point: I would like to see an effective parking brake on carts. Every time we moved at Raton, I was looking for a rock to chock the rear wheels. Much easier to set the brake than to carry yet another item.
