Enduron powder shelf life

Happened across this thread on another site and thought I would share here for safety reasons. I have never had an issue with the Enduron powders but have heard about them going bad. Something to pay attention to for those who still have these powders

IMR 4166 shelf life

Folks, Came across an issue today that I thought was worth sharing. When opening a powder storage cabinet today I noticed a couple of my older canisters with metal caps were starting to corrode. There was also a faint foul smell. Its worth noting that the storage area is temp and humidity...

Have an unopened jug of 4451 on the shelf, jug looks same as when I put it there but do keep an eye on it.

I have a 1 pounder of 4166 and I do the same. I scan all of my powder with a FLIR camera once or twice a year in hopes that I’ll catch it if anything starts going bad.

I still have about 10# of 4451 still fresh and gave a friend 8# of 4166 that is still good also. But this is Arizona. I use the 4451.

Damn.... I have a bunch of 4166 from I believe the Covid days. Was never a favorite (purchased as Varget was unobtanium).

Maybe I should start using it!
