Eliseo T3 chassis install?

So I will be getting my T3 chassis soon. How exactly does the action mount to the chassis?

Not sure if I want to do a glue in at first, does the regular T3 recoil lug work?

The barrelled action should just slide in the tube after removing trigger group. Rear of the action into the front of the tube until recoil lug makes contact. Install action screws. Install hand guard and rear stock. Install trigger. Then bottom metal, Scope and go bang banging.

Talked to Gary on the phone, looks like either a glue in or set the barrel shoulder back for a recoil lug.

Looks like I will just go with a glue in for simplicity. Anyone know the working time of JB weld?

Skyav8r, the Tikka T3 doesn't have a regular recoil lug. There is a slot cut on the bottom of the action that fits over a lug in the stock.

I believe German Salazar has posted an article on his Rifleman's Journal website detailing the glue in process on a Remington type action. I would think the basics would be the same as your Tikka.

I think normal JB Weld has a working time of somewhere near an hour. However, I think I'd want everything pretty well planted in the first 10-15 minutes to allow for maximum cleanup time.

Thanks Dw, I remember that article after I posted and have just reread it. The chassis should be here next week, I will check it out before proceeding with anything, and will probably ask questions.

Have you received your kit yet? There are very few pictures of the T3 on the interwebs. I was assuming it would be like the Remington 700, but no, Sako does it different... So, for the good of the community (me) please post your build! ;D
