Elevation knob on Sightron SV 10-50 won’t lift up

Hi - need help figuring out how to get the elevation knob on a new scope to lift up for adjustments. I have watched several videos, but the knob will not lift up. Need some expert advice.
Cheers

It should pop up. Try backing of the 3 locking screws just a bit. They only need to be snug not cranked. I did have this issue with one of mine, sent it back and it was returned in a couple days corrected.I love these scopes, so bright and clear. The dual focus knob is a real winner in mirage.

Thanks for the reply. Tried that already to no avail. I don't want to pull on it any harder than I am right now. I'm going to test the ability of the turret to give reliable adjustments today. Have a competition starting this weekend and don't have the ability to ship it to be repaired right now.

That should not affect your adjustments. The one I sent back would unlock with two hands. Adjustments were fine if you could unlock it. Never had a problem since and that will soon be 3 years old. Second one never had the issue. I know Sightron has a new release this year, I am looking forward to seeing it. They told me I will like it.

If the inside info is what's going to be released, a lot of people will like it including me. -Al
Not sure what your saying but I said just make the SVED 5 more power. I was told, don't get hung up on power, wait until you look through one. I said, I am guessing more money. They said yes but well with it. That's all I know. Hoping they introduce it at the Shot Show.

you may need to regrease the knob, take it down clean and grease, maybe I could be wrong but sometimes they have to be cleaned and greased I think, I could be wrong

Looks like we're talking about different 'maybe' scopes. We'll see what shakes out at SHOT later this month.

The SVED 10x50x69 Competition both knobs lock. They come with or without a zero stop now. Early on they had no zero stop, it came about after they were out awhile. Save your nickels Al, the new one might be something you want.

Get with tech-support to see what they have to offer before you schedule a return for service.

My SV has locking knobs both ele and wind....think you need to chk the grease inside the cap on the O-ring sometimes this hardens a bit and causes the knob to freeze
