Element optics

My neighbor just brought the Sightron over and on first examination, it is awesome (inexperienced eye here). Plus it came with Butler Creek lens covers and a sun shade.

I saw your post and I thought I would pass this along. I ordered a Sightron SIII 6x24x50 SFP Mil dot last week from Cameraland NY for $500. For some reason that one particular model is on sale. The other SIII's are $1100 and up. If that reticle works for you, these scopes and this company has a great reputation.

I bought it to put on a my CZ 452 Synthetic or my Tikka T1x.

I have 3 Sightrons already, one MOA 2 and two MOA 3's but don't like the mildot/BDC reticle. All my glass comes from Doug though. Thanks for the tip.

I have a Helix and no way wood I put it on a spaghetti barrel cz 22 it will be extremely top-heavy not a good choice it is however working very well on a heavy barrel Howa 223
I have a 457 American with a larger/heavier scope on it than the Helix and is fine for shooting off the bench. Same with my 457 Varmint, A larger/heavier Sightron than the Helix, also fine for bench work. The 452 UL will be used the same way, bench work @ 100 instead of 50. I'm too old for offhand/prone shooting. Front rest/rear bag or bi-pod only for me.

Since all my shooting is off a bench or lying in a field, if it helps me see it is not to big, not to heavy, but just right.

I’ve looked through them and used them just a bit and would be interested in hearing more if a long term review about them.

They seem built well and the glass is fantastic. I was told they source their glass from Nightforce. Is that true?
