Electronics help. Magnetospeed switch

Hi all,

I have a magnetospeed V1 and the switch has broken and magnetospeed can't help. It's been about 5yrs since I used it but from memory it had a small toggle lever to scroll up and down through menus and then you would press it in to select

Is there an electronics guru out there that can point me to a suitable replacement?

Appreciate any help I can get!

Can you disassemble it and take some pictures? Then maybe us folks with an electronics background might be able to help.

Please, also, take a picture from the side.

What are the markings on it? I could guess on the number in the picture but it would be better off you read it. And if there are any other markings.

I'm pretty sure the number is 1133 then 1182. I haven't got it in front of me at the moment but the switch is only about 1/8 thick and I don't remember seeing anything written on the side

New display parts are available from Magneto Speed $80 to $160 depending on functions ya want, and just about every replacement part for their chronographs plus accessories...free shipping..

Well according to the user manual it would be some type of rotary switch. You got 4 contacts in the switch.

If it were me, I would power it up with the PC board accesable. With a jumper wire I would connect 2 of the contacts and see what the display does. Make a note of it then short out 2 more and take note.
On a piece of paper I would draw 4 small squares ( just like the switch on the PCB) and label them 1,2,3 and 4. When you short out say 1 and 3 note what the display does.

1 of the contacts will most likely connect to the other 3 for different functions, so you may have to figure which one ifs the trigger contact (or source signal)

Once you figure what contact do what, you can get 3 small push button switches, make a small 4 wire and sold the wires on each tab on the PCB and take a small plastic box put the switches in it and wire the push button switches to the PCB.

Attach the switch box to the outside of the case, or if you got room inside the case mount them to the case and run wires inside the case (eliminate the external switch box)

really hard to tell buy just 1 picture what you got and how much room you go to work with.

Good luck
