Looking for some insight ladies and gents. I am looking to purchase a new e-caller and am struggling with witch one to get. I am trying to decide between the FoxPro shockwave and the Icotec outlaw. My last ecaller was a fp firestorm and i really wasent happy with it. I struggled with the volume not being loud enough and I had to be right on top of the caller for the remote to work consistently. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I've been running a Primos Alpha Dogg for about ten years, No issues. Easy ti install new sounds. As loud as you need. This time of year, try a doe decoy. Leave the legs off or just the front legs to make it look like she's trying to get up. Mess with the ears. This is a good time to use that deer blood you saved from the deer you shot. 
Of course, the caller you use needs doe-in-distress sound(s).

I own and have owned a total of three different FoxPro callers and a Wildlife Technologies Mighty Atom caller. The Mighty Atom is by far the better sounding caller however, I dislike the handheld controller.
My current FoxPro Caller is a CS24C with the TX1000 controller. For me, the larger display on the TX1000 is a "MUST" for my old eyes. I also have downloaded sounds from MFK Game Calls on my FoxPro CS24C due to living in suburbia and everybody here owns a FoxPro playing the same sounds time & time again. Mister Coyote has properly heard the same FoxPro sounds before with an educational experience. I use my FoxPro CS24C unit the mostly and play the MFK Sounds 80% of the time and use the Wildlife Technologies Mighty Atom about 20%.
I have aways struggled killing coyotes during the breading season until I went to different sounds than what came on my FoxPro callers. I believe it was due to too many hunters educating the coyotes with the same sounds over and over again. Around here after Firearm Deer Season everybody and their four brothers out trying to call coyotes with their FoxPro's. Just my personal opinion.

Lucky Duck Revolt for the win. I have had a couple different Fox Pros and I am currently using the Lucky Duck Revolt and it is by far the superior caller. Sounds are better clearer and louder. The extra features like the built in decoy, tripod stand and its ability to rotate to spread the sound around make it a cut above the rest. I have called more dogs in the last wo years than I ever did with the Fox Pros. Tons of custom sounds pre installed on the caller and tons more available for download.
I'm pretty much of a predator caller only now and have run a number of callers over the years. They all call coyotes just fine. You have to pick the features that suit you calling style. I like single directional speakers so callers with front and back(shut off the back) speakers work for me, CS-24, Banshee, WT, Minaska Bandits. Remotes are a big thing for me, I like simple, I hate to scroll for a sound. The WT that I bought this past summer is great, ust punch in the number of the call you want hit play and away you go, Minaska has the same numeric keypad as did the early FP(TX_500/505 remote) CS-24 and Crossfire. I personally think that most of the stuff on remotes are there to sell callers, not call critters.
Right now I'm running a WT, CS-24, Crossfire, Minaska M-1 Bandit(compact little caller that I use on archery, long hikes and close cover sands) and I have a little Johny Stewart Grim Speaker($89.) that I bought to see what under $100 would get you in a caller with a remote, it calls coyotes. Make sure the remote is easy to view for you( especially important at night). In Minnesota farm country, having the volume to reach the next section NOT NEEDED. Attracting coyote that need to cross a road, can cause problems. Different options for individual coyote sounds, important. Unfamiliar(to coyote) small prey sounds can be a strong curiosity draw. Any of the big 4 ecallers will work choose based on your requirements. You can attract coyote with mouse squeaks, location,location,location.
I’ll preface my response with the fact that I rely heavily on mouth calls. But as everyone knows, electros have several advantages.
I like the sound of the Foxpro, and have called in a fair number, day and night using it. However the remote sucks with a capital “S”! The display resolution continues to deteriorate. I won an Icotec in a contest, decided to try it out this season. The remote is great, tactile buttons are easy in the dark. But...have not called in the first coyote, cat or fox using it. So, it’s going somewhere, anywhere besides hunting with me!

I can't afford a Foxboro but if I could - I'd get one without hesitation. The really successful predator hunters I know swear by Foxboro. They also hunt a night with nigh vision equipment.
While I'm a serious varmint hunter, I just "dapple" in the predator hunting - it's an excuse to get outdoors in the winter months.

Can't go wrong with Icotec, better remote and better range, the calls are as good as anything out there, I've killed at least 75 plus coyotes with mine as well as everything else, coons, ferals, foxes,crows, mink and bobcat.
If you want the real deal,wildlife tech is the one.

I also run an Icotec GC 350, around here getting away from the call and positioning a potential incoming coyote is paramount, remote range is what sold me. I have ran this call as far away as 125-130 yds from my stand location. Playing the wind with the call location helps alot. It is easy to load different calls on SD cards for different situations & times of year. I have ran Foxpro calls , sounds and volume are great but remote range was a killer. Coyotes and bobcats are my main targets. I'm not a professional hunter , but when they wake me up at night I have to do something. I'm successful enough to have alot of fun doing it.

I forgot to add i like the foxbang feature of the foxpro. I actually use an old foxpro fx3 and an original jack in the box but have a shockwave. I find with all the cool features i spend too much time playing around instead of hunting plus i think everybody around has a shockwave and my vintage caller sounds a bit different
Foxbang is a feature that I've found really helpful. Really makes a difference when you get a pair in.
I have had 2 Foxpro's, and a mix of other calls. My Primos Alpha Dog worked pretty well but is starting to crap out. I know that both fox and coyote learn sounds pretty quick. My best nite coyote hunting, a single and then a triple, came to a $39.00 Johnny Stewart. I love that little call but it is not a call for out in wide open spaces like out West.
