Looking for a quality small *electronic* scale to use with a manual powder thrower:

Something small, but high quality, and very accurate. I don't mind spending for quality.

Thanx.

There are many threads here on digital and beam scales.

It's difficult to recommend a reasonably priced digital scale because all scales under ~$500 are based on strain gauge load cells. These will react to noise or interference over the air or through the power line . . . frequently losing zero, fluttering to different weights, not weighing the same object the same twice, etc.

So a scale that might be acceptable to someone for their purposes in their noise-free reloading room might not work well in yours.

Scales using magnetic force restoration are not affected by noise, and are normally rated at higher precision levels. The lowest price such scale we have found - and many of us have bought - is the A&D FX120i which can be found here: https://ceproducts.shop/products/fx-120i-reloading-scale-122g-x-0-001g

The price you will see is $745.50, but at checkout entering the code "cambridge" brings the price to $498.20. I can recommend this scale and vendor without worry. Worth mentioning is the A&D can also be upgraded later to become a very high quality powder dispenser/scale by adding an Autotrickler and perhaps an Autothrower from Adam MacDonald.

Other than that scale, the one most frequently given some decent reviews is the Gempro 250 (or its replacement) which runs $125-$150 last time I looked. The scale is still subject to noise and its programming to hold zero and ignore small changes in weight makes it difficult to trickle that last bit of powder if that's your style. A simple tap forces a re-weigh, so it might work for you.

Thanx for this !
For what it is worth, I bought an A&D FX120, a line conditioner and use a Dandy Trickler very successfully. I use the Lee plastic powder dispensers because they are inexpensive enough one can buy several and set them up for specific loads. There is one downside and that is static buildup. That can be attended to by spraying Static Guard on a cloth and wiping down all the plastic parts of the various pieces of equipment mentioned plus funnels and drop tubes. That treatment lasts for awhile so it doesn't have to be done every loading session.
I can knock out 25 rounds pretty quickly with the above setup. The Dandy Trickler takes a little getting used to but it works well.
