ELD-M a Good Hunting Bullet?

I think its all shot placement. A buddy has lost 1 muel deer to the 140 eldm in a 6.5 prc and had 2 cow elk that took more than 1 round to kill them. They would not go down. I have shot 2 javelina with the 108 eldm in a 6 creed. One was through the heart DRT. Another was a little lower. He went down but took about 8 seconds. He went behind a bush so could not shoot again.

I have shot a few mule deer with 130gr eldm in 6.5 also a few coyotes. I haven’t lost any animals or had to do follow up shots. Upon inspecting vitals the bullet did its job making soup of internals and majority of the bullet in offside hide.

I shot a bull elk 3x standing broadside at 400 yards with a 180 ELDM in 7 SAUM. Walked behind a tree and layed down. Took 20 mins to die. NOT a elk bullet. Work fine on deer and antelope.

Haven't used a ELD-M yet on game BUT I did try an A-Tip out of my 7 SAUM. The old A Max worked good for many people BUT I can tell you for a fact that the A-Tip is NOT a game bullet. Might as well shoot a FMJ. Killed the deer BUT made 200 yds without a drop of blood. If I couldn't have seen it run 150 yds recovery would have been very iffy. And the hit was as good a broadside chest shot as possible.
