Ejector or no ejector, for 1000 yard br, shot my first 1000 yard br match at williamsport Saturday, shooting a borden rimrock ssr left port right bolt no eject , was a great experience, have a lot to learn , gun doesnt have an ejector, im thinking it should because of trying to run a condition, williamsport can be a scetchy place with wind, any opionions/ advice would be greatly appreciated

Try this - when running your shots, open the bolt drawing the spent round back, stick a fresh round in the port in front of it, and while your finger is there, flick the spent case out onto the benchtop.

This takes some practice. Don't sit up, keep your head down on the scope and let your hands/forearms do the work without moving your upper body. Practice on a table set up in the house before trying it at the range. It takes a while to break the old habit of removing the spent case first. Practice.

While not quite as fast as an ejector, I know two guys that can run their shots almost as fast as the ejector shooters. Within 10-15 seconds or so.
