Either dumb or dumb

Been reloading for years. Sitting in my reload room tonight and was doing some reading on a Sinclair flash hole deburring tool I have. Probably 4 years using it and never new you actually let it enter the web inside the case. Another words did not know you put a chamfer on the web of the case. I always thought it was just to make sure the hole was clean. If I am completely wrong well I can be dumb again because I just did 100 308 win. Norma cases putting the chamfer at the web of the flash hole. I was curious why it had the metal sleeve so far down on the center drill.

That is correct. The toool is used to remove the burr on the inside. I have done some genuis stunts like that also, so don't feel bad.

The removing of the burrs on the inside of the case around the primer flash hole has been one of the major things that has brought more accuracy to my loads. You do not have to do this to Lapua cases because they drill their flash holes instead of punching them like everybody else. I wonder if this could be one of the reasons that loads put up in Laupa cases usually shoot better than in other cases???
