I can assure you the tikkas are not usable. Every one has a parting cutNow that’s a darn shame. Some of the Tikka factory barrels I’ve shot do pretty good. I’d love to have a few extra 22-250 barrels lying around.

Your question made me go look. My memory stinks and it’s been a while. I dug through my wrenches and remembered. The 338 was a 695. The 223 was a 595. The 300 Win Mag and another 223 were t3 actions. I used the Wheeler #2 wrench on the older actions. I flipped the loose side of the Wheeler wrench over to the flat side facing the action and made a piece of aluminum to protect the circular lug projection. For the T3 actions, I used a wrench made by PBike .Does wheeler make a action wrench for the Tikka action
Just don't miss.A common ordinary cheap hack saw also may be used to make a relief cut. Tension tightens.
Thanks I’ll look into that—I don’t like messing with all the bushings for my brownells barrel vise. Not sure on the Mosin, but it takes one or two smacks with a dead blow hammer to break a tikka action loose in my PBike vise and Brownells wrench. That aluminum vise holds the barrel so well I have never had a need for another.
Ar 15 barrelsI can assure you the tikkas are not usable. Every one has a parting cut

I think they’d be very useful to a guy that wants to practice threading and chambering.![]()
PM sent to you Larry. For anyone interest in My vise, I am supposed to have 4 available by the 22nd, HOPEFULLY. LDS
thats it—best barrels to practice on are strait taper ones — i got some used cheap from an f class guy. custom barrels though. Not really. They dont have enough shank left and impossible to dial in.
very true in alot of cases but those barrels you throw away have useful ar 15 life in them at least the 22s and 6s— but i wouldnt pay for them. well mabie beer moneyone mans trash is another mans treasure
I guess that’s why I’m a wood guy. I know nuthing! Not really. They dont have enough shank left and impossible to dial in.
And were did u get this stuffIf you expect a tough removal job, this penetrating oil works better than anything you have tried, stubborn rusted bolts, barrels, just spray in the outside crack and inside threads...let soak over night
