Small Groups Rifle Range is a private membership 300 yard range located about an hour east of Dallas. It's a very nice range with 20 covered concrete benches and target boards at 100, 200 and 300 yards. The East Texas Shooters Assn. will once again host three 300 yard clay matches this year at Small Groups on April 25th, June 26th and Sept. 25th. Entry fee is $40 with 70% going to prize money. Shooters meeting at 8:45, match starts at 9:00 and usually finished by 11:30. Location of the range and match rules can be found on the "Small Groups" web site. Hope to see you there.

The matches are fun. Good group of shooters. The course can be challenging to all.
Come and shoot the match and have a GOOD TIME.
Denny does a good job at the shoot and sometimes he gets to shoot.

6br, 6.5x47, 6.5x284- you name it and itll work good. Most are long range br rigs but anything thatll hit a skeet at 300 will do fine. Glass is most important

All calibers up to 30. No magnums.
And a set of wind flags
As Dusty said your scope choice is important.

Sounds like a good time Guys...and Gals! We do a 100-200-300 matches up here in Montana ,no wind flags,pretty challenging. 1K matches 65 miles away...cant beat it.

Kyle, that is also the same date as the NBRSA Texas State Varmint for Score at Tomball.

I sure Would like to make one of these matches. The September one is the only one without a conflicting match.

Jackie, we hope you are able to make the Sept. match and try to bring some of those South Texas World Class shooters with you.
I forgot to mention that we also have a one shot "Money Shot" after the last relay. $5.00 entry, winner take all for 300 yard closest to the center.
