Easier & safer dies

Here is what I do to make my reloading dies easier to adjust and protect my arm from the fangs of that adjustment screw.
1/4x28 acorn nut on the top of the adjustment screw covers the sharp edges of the screw's top.
1/4x28 wing nut replaces the little knurled nut locking the adjustment screw in place. Makes it easy to loosen and set.
Net cost, less than a dollar.

I used the rubber/vinyl vacuum line caps on mine.

I just slip a piece of snug fitting rubber fuel hose over the threaded section. The nut only gets adjusted when I change bullet style/brand, that can be years apart. I just use Skip"s shims under the die body if needed. But your way looks good.

That's a good idea, I've sliced my underside of my forearm more times than I care to recall

I’ve had my forearm tore up a few times from those sharp threads. I’m going to get a few of these crown nuts and wing nuts for my dies. Thanks

Rubber nipple from cleaning rod end covers fit good. The rubber from shelf pegs are same thing.

Guess I should have measured or at least asked the brand of your dies! 1/4" X 28 is way too big for my RCBS and Hornady dies.
