Early Browning designs

I don't know if this is the appropriate place to ask this question, but here goes.

Does there exist a modern firearm based on a gun that JM Browning originally patented that was bought by Winchester, or whomever, that was never produced and not meant to be produced during the designer's lifetime? We know that Winchester bought lots of his patents just to keep his designs off the market and I wondered if any of his ideas were worth building on despite the lack of an existing gun produced in that period.

Seems I remember reading that Winchester purchased some designs just to keep them away from other manufacturers

Here is a somewhat lengthy list.

Yes. I mentioned that Winchester did keep them out of production for their monopoly. But have any of their ideas been overlooked and picked up by some modern manufacturer? It seems like most guns based off Browning's weapons came from production models only.

Browning's Miroku made and long discontinued B-78 falling block rifles might qualify for a modern firearm based off of his deign.

But I'm asking if it was made off a design that was never used by the companies that owned those rights in the 1880s to the 1930s.

First design that comes to mind is a detachable magazine, lever action rifle. I believe It preceded to the model 1895. It was never produced.

There have been a few detachable magazine lever actions produced lately, but I have never looked hard and compared the designs.

Remember you also need to include searching European fire arms and heavy machine guns. Browning designs were on a lot of aircraft in both world wars.

This might be of interest, a recently published book

That's part of what got me interested. I picked that up as well as several more classic gun history books. But they don't really mention any guns made after his lifetime that Winchester never planned to put out. I just assume some of his unused designs had ideas not seen in any other guns that appeared then.
