Ear muffs that are slim for stock clearance

Are you a vet as the V.A. tested me last week and upgraded mine . The new ones can be sync to phone for adjustment and also have a remote . I'm with you ,I can't get along with muffs

I currently use the Caldwell low profile muffs at 25db reduction. Going to order a pr of Walker Razor low profile passives that are 26 or 27db. I have a pair of the Walker big 32db passives as well that I wear when shooting indoors or pistol shooting. THere are a lot of chinese made muffs out there with outrageous claims as to db noise reduction rating. I have a pair from Amazon. The ratings are not backed up by testing or certification as I pointed out to Amazon.

A nice gentle reminder for me. I'm due for a new set and the VA folks said I would also be getting the ones you can control with the cell phone.

HUH? WHAT?...lol do they make some that is more like hearing aids that will do both? Meaning will they stop the noise as well as amplify like hearing aids

Most electronic hearing protection amplifies normal sound, with volume control. I have grabbed the earpro on more than one occasion when the wife said "what's that noise?"

As for the MSA, I don't know that they provide much more of a cheek weld than the Impacts (I own both), but the MSA's keep a consistent seal when getting on and off the gun where the Impacts don't, even with Noisefighters gel seals. For my the behind the head band MSA's are the best things I have ever used. I still back them with Decibullz when next to some calibers/brakes.
