I did read about "some body" experimenting or actually producing barrels with a removable chamber section that screws on and off.

I can see it now , a large revolver , manually rotate cylinder , 6 TCU , 6 pPC , 6 br, 6 x47, 6x 06 AI . Ah shoot I should kept that to myself , now everyone will try it .

Interesting, but my first thought is once throat wear sets in , and you "switch" ends it will print some damn nice keyholes on a score target....and once in a while you'll get lucky and wipe out the entire 10 ring on a 100 yd target.
I don't think the chamber can ever be considered a crown.

But it actually is in this case..... and there are several good studies done on crowns/sawcut crowns/angled crowns... on and on....... surprisingly still accurate..... shooters.... CF only....RF are a different horse...
