While I have never used wipeout I am a FIRM beliver in 4 soaking patches of whatever flush you like, (I use a mixture similar to what Butch and Jackie use) to a warm barrel before leaving the range. Then barrel down to the house, then a good cleaning routine. I've found shooting praire dogs on the last day and everything is dirty those soaking patches on a hot barrel the most important thing you can do short of a good cleaning....I stick a foam earplug in the muzzle. My rifles sit slightly muzzle down in their Airglide cases. I have the O-ring'd bore guide in the action, and I just stick a patch tightly in the Bore guide's outboard end where it blocks the solvent port.
Do note that because of the angle, whatever WipeOut residue tends to run down towards the muzzle.
