Dtech Uppers

What do people think about Dtech's uppers? I found him online and am wondering if it is worth the money and wait. He is the only one I have found online that will build a 20 Practical for a close to my budget price(he is under a $800.00). Is there a another option available to find a good upper for cheaper? I am looking for a gun that will shoot sub-moa @ 100yds.

I have a Dtech upper in 6x45 that I can't praise enough. It is superbly accurate. Mike is really a top-notch guy to deal with. He was very helpful even in the load development stage. He hangs out at predatormasters.com.

I have one of his uppers in 6.5-243wssm....I love it. I can easily shoot 5 shot groups under 3/4moa and sometimes 5 shot groups under 1/2moa. It is my coyote go to upper.

White Oak does 20Prac uppers and for cheaper than that. Call or email him.

John does really good work, most of your service rifle shooters either White Oak or Compass Lake.. they are the men!

If the objective is to get a cheap rifle - there's plenty of them out there, but the objective should be a quality rifle at a decent price. Only accurate guns are fun and if you waste your money on cheap stuff that does not shoot well then you got what you deserve.

You hit it right on the head Robert. I would rather spend a little more and have an accurate gun then slap on an upper that was cheaper but it will only shoot a 2" moa. My problem is that I do not know beans about AR's so I don't know where I need to spend the money and which components I can save a little on.

I am not looking to win competitions with it I just want to be able to pull up on a PD and know that I missed it not the gun.(if that makes any sense) So if anyone has any tips to certain parts of the AR that I can go dirt cheap on let me know, as well as, if there are parts that I need to throw the money at, I would like to know that also.

Thanks for all the posts. I will keep doing my research.

The man you just replied to is the best at accurate AR-15 uppers. Everything he does is top notch and he uses the best quality parts as well. You can't go wrong with a Robert Whitley upper.

Dtech is top shelf products in all areas. Great guy to work with on your build/wants & requirements. You will not be dissapointed in his uppers.

Dtech is as good as it gets. mike knows his stuff.................................................!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lee

I think the objective is to get good value for your money. Anyone that knows or has shot John holligers guns knows what he is about.

I must agree with that statement because John and Mike both build quality uppers at a decent price and you get more than what you pay for....quality, decent price and good customer service.
